Thank you for having faith in our new company and your vote of support in buying these electrolytes. 4 years ago, while experimenting with ketosis and fasting, we embarked on our journey that brought us to launching our electrolytes in March 2021.

You are one of our very early customers and orders like yours mean a lot to us, it lets us know that the months and years of research, hard work and investment was worth it.

Our story started while we were following a ketogenic diet, not long after we both developed odd symptoms of cramps, lethargy, and headaches – Dr google told us we had a potassium deficiency so we bought some potassium. We bought a lot of potassium! Powders, pills, drinks, sachets and more, some worked better than others, some were too sweet, some didn’t stir well, some tasted sour, but none of them were right. They either didn’t have enough potassium, or they were full of table salt (yep, the stuff you melt the ice off the road with).

There were slightly better offerings to be had by importing from the USA but these took months to arrive, cost a fortune and tasted about as good as American chocolate (crap).

So we made our own, with obscure ingredients that we went to great trouble to get, potassium glauconite? No that’s rubbish, so we got potassium citrate. We mixed, tested, tried some more and everyday we drank our home brew concoctions to test the, out whilst we were in ketosis (we lost 20 stone between the 2 of us but that’s another story)

Home brew electrolytes became our thing, our friends and family started using them, they kept asking for more, at first we thought they were being polite, massaging our ego’s, but it continued, then friends of friends started asking for them. We were supplying dozens of people with our mix, neighbors of friends started asking us, it got out of hand.

Friends were telling us to go into business properly. Luckily we knew a world leading Nutra-Pharmacist who jumped at the chance to work with us to further develop our home brew into a world class product. A few months later we trotted into a local vitamin company with our recipe, and asked them to make us a hundred tubs, we gave them our list of ingredients that we had been we sourced from 8 different specialist suppliers around the world in small batches, the company told us that there was no way our formula would ever be a commercial success because the ingredients we insisted upon using were just too expensive. This is when we found out that, in the vitamin and mineral business…. the bottle costs more than what’s in it.

We left that meeting determined to start our own brand of electrolytes, and we decided there and then that we would NEVER scrimp on ingredients, if it made our product less competitive- then so be it. We believe that there are people who know what they are looking for and value something done right. The early indications suggest that there are many others like you who also believe that it’s worth checking what active ingredients something contains and HOW MUCH of those active ingredients it contains. Mineral labelling is an unethical minefield, products are sold with aspirational lifestyle images, catchy slogans, bold colours, cute statements… and little to no substance of therapeutic value.
